Mitsubishi Corporation Foundation For The Americas Announces new Environmental Grants
At its annual meeting on October 28, the Board of Directors of the Mitsubishi Corporation Foundation for the Americas (MCFA), formerly the Mitsubishi International Corporation Foundation, approved $700,000 in new and continuing grants, including: $100,000, payable over two years, to the Rainforest Alliance; $100,000, payable over two years, to Urban Habitat; $20,000 to EcoLogic Development Fund; $15,000 to the Environmental Grantmakers Association; and $7,000 to International Funders for

Mitsubishi Corporation Foundation for the Americas Grantee Wins Brazilian Environmental Award
The Mitsubishi Corporation (MC) Foundation for the Americas has been supporting efforts by the O Boticario Foundation for Nature Protection since 2006 to conserve some of the last remaining areas of Atlantic Forest in Brazil. The $400,000 grant over five years to O Boticario Foundation’s Oasis Project is using payments for ecosystem services to preserve a watershed responsible for supplying water to nearly four million inhabitants of the city of São Paulo.

Mitsubishi Corporation Announces Partnership with CIMA Energy Ltd
Mitsubishi Corporation (MC) announced today that it has entered into an agreement with oil and gas marketer CIMA Energy Ltd. (CIMA: Houston, Texas) whereby MC
will acquire a 34% partnership interest in the Texas company. The CIMA interest will be

Mitsubishi Corporation Announces Purchase of Shares in
Aladdin Capital Holdings LLC (U.S.) and Commitment to New FOF
Jointly Established with Aladdin
Mitsubishi Corporation (MC: Tokyo, Chiyoda ward; President and CEO, Yorihiko Kojima) and Mitsubishi International Corporation (MIC: New York; wholly-owned subsidiary of MC; President and CEO Ryoichi Ueda) have agreed to purchase 19.5% of Aladdin Capital Holdings LLC (Aladdin: Delaware, US; President
and CEO Amin Aladin). The shares will be acquired from partners, including Aladdin management. At the same time, MC and MIC will commit $300 million to a new fund of funds (FOF) which will be jointly established with Aladdin. The FOF will invest in funds managed by Aladdin.
